FinanSee

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 26 September 2026

1. Who we are

Behave Your Finance, SL ("FinanSee", "we"), Calle de Santa Engracia, Madrid, Spain, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to info@finansee.eu.

This policy covers the website www.finansee.eu, the FinanSee mobile app, and the user accounts of the FinanSee Platform.

2. Data a bank or wealth manager uploads to the FinanSee Platform

When a financial institution uses the FinanSee Platform to analyse its own clients, the institution is the controller of that client data and FinanSee processes it only on the institution's instructions, under a data processing agreement. That data is stored and processed in the European Union. If you are a client of such an institution, please address your requests to it; if you contact us, we will forward your request to the institution.

3. What we collect

Mobile app

  • Account data: email address, name if you give it, language, sign-in and security data.
  • What you enter to use the app: answers to the risk, knowledge and behaviour questionnaires, budgets, savings goals, portfolios you import or enter, Decision Journal entries and your conversations with Valora.
  • Subscription status received from Apple or Google. We never receive your card details.
  • Device and usage data: a push-notification token, the features you use and in-app events.
  • Marketing preferences, if you choose to receive our emails.

The app does not ask for special categories of data (such as health data). Please do not enter them in free-text fields.

FinanSee Platform accounts

  • Name, work email, role, organisation, sign-in codes and security data of the people who use the Platform.
  • For subscriptions, the billing contact and payment status handled by Stripe.

Website

  • What you send through the contact form: name, email, company and message.
  • Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Aggregate visit statistics without cookies (see the Cookies Policy).

4. Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • Providing the app and the Platform (account, questionnaires, investor profile, budgets, Decision Journal, Valora, Platform access): performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Service messages and notifications about your account and the features you use: performance of the contract.
  • Marketing emails and newsletter: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every email or in the app.
  • Security, abuse prevention and aggregate statistics to keep the services working and improve them: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Invoicing, tax and legal obligations: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Answering contact requests: steps you ask us to take before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering you.

5. Investor profile and automated processing

The app builds an educational investor profile from your answers and from the data you enter, to show you your behavioural tendencies and risk profile. This profile does not produce decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you (GDPR Art. 22): it gives you information, and you decide.

6. Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data. We use these service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:

  • Google Cloud (Google Ireland Ltd): hosting of our applications and databases in the EU (Madrid, Belgium, Frankfurt), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and service email (Google Workspace).
  • MongoDB Atlas (MongoDB Ltd): database for app and Platform accounts, in an EU region.
  • Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, United States): generates Valora's answers from the messages you send to Valora and the profile context needed to answer. Anthropic does not use them to train its models.
  • Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, United States): marketing emails and newsletter, only if you consented.
  • Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd): payments for Platform subscriptions.
  • Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): hosting of this website and cookieless visit statistics.

Apple and Google process your in-app purchases and app-store data as independent controllers, under their own privacy policies.

7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Our applications and databases are hosted in the EU. Data reaches the United States only through the providers marked above (Anthropic for Valora, Mailchimp for marketing emails, Vercel for the website), and through Stripe, Google or Apple where their services require it. Each transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards at info@finansee.eu.

8. How long we keep it

  • App and Platform account data: while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete it from our systems; any backup copies expire within 30 days.
  • Valora conversations and Decision Journal entries: in your account until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Marketing data: until you withdraw your consent.
  • Contact requests: up to 24 months after our last exchange.
  • Invoices and accounting records: for the periods Spanish law requires (up to six years).
  • Application security logs: 30 days.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You can delete your app account in the app (Settings, Delete Account) or by email. For every other request, write to info@finansee.eu; we answer within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es) or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited by role and restricted to authorised personnel, and administrative actions on the Platform are recorded in an audit log that cannot be edited.

11. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. The effective date above shows the current version.
